| Halbturn, a wine village with about 2,000 residents located east of Lake Neusiedl, on the northern edge of the unique in Europe Seewinkel and the national park Neusiedlersee. In the famous baroque of Halbturn, in which Charles VI and Maria Theresa had lingered, takes place each summer exhibitions, concerts and recitals. The vast expansive park is ideal for relaxing walks and also ideal for jogging. Approximately 12 km are Neusiedlersee and Zicksee away with its nature reserves. Cycling on flat roads good, in a splendid Naturandschaft (Puszta) come to mind. Day trips to Vienna (60 km), Bratislava (40 km) and Slovakia and neighboring Hungary (Sopron 40 km, Budapest 180 km) are possible. |
